The Prince of Wales will represent the COP30 climate summit in South America in the coming weeks, as announced by palace sources.
The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a gathering leading up to the climate summit, which is set to be held in the northern Brazilian city of Belem.
Father and son were present at the scientific institution event, marking an rare public appearance together at a environmental conference preliminary meeting organized in partnership with the United Kingdom administration.
Climate Leadership Dedication
King Charles has been a longstanding advocate of environmental conservation - and Prince William has assumed the responsibility, with his own environmental prize initiative, which will be held in Brazil preceding the UN meeting.
Palace insiders have portrayed William's involvement at the forthcoming conference as stepping up an crucial position in "global climate discussions".
Previous Activities
The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the royal vehicle, were welcomed guests including conservation experts, researchers, environmental activists, diplomats and government officials.
This involvement involved presentations alongside French leader Macron of the French Republic and other international figures at the Marine Economy Conference in Monaco earlier this year.
Earthshot Awards Connection
The UN meeting will align with the the royal's sustainability recognition program, which will finish in Rio de Janeiro the previous day he attends the climate conference on November 6th.
